How to manage your assets

XUNO's asset management feature allows schools to manage, track and assign assets to staff & students.

How to create an asset

  1. Click on the Administration menu and then click on Asset Management found under the General section.
  2. Click on the Add button.
  3. Fill out the "Asset Details" section which includes Asset No, Serial No, Make, Model, Resource Category and Type.
  4. Fill out the "Purchase Details" section which contains the Supplier and Cost of the asset. 
  5. Select a Purchase Date and Warranty Expiry Date.
  6. Click the Save button to create your asset.

Note: You can add extra Asset types through the Options menu and Lists & Options. Choose Types from the list drop down, under the Asset Management group Simply type in the item description in the Add a new item field and click on the Add  button. 

Viewing and editing assets

  1. Click on the Administration menu and then click on Asset Management.
  2. You can select filtering options by clicking on the filter icon. Select the appropriate filtering options you require and then click the Show button.
  3. To Edit select the Pencil icon.
  4. You can add or edit all of the Asset Details, Purchase Details & Maintenance Details.
  5.  Delete select the X icon.

Assigning assets to users and rooms

  1. Click on the Administration menu and then click on Asset Management.
  2. Click the Pencil icon on the line of the asset you want to assign.
  3. In the "Assigned to" section, select from the drop down the group the asset is being assigned to - staff, student or room and then select the member of that group you are assigning the asset to.
  4. Click the Assign button to assign the asset.  

Returning assets from users & rooms

  1. Click on the Administration menu and then click on Asset Management.
  2. Click the Pencil icon on the line of the asset you want to return.
  3. In the "Assigned to" section, click the Return button to return the asset.
  4. The asset will display a status of Returned and show the Date Returned.
