Assign Indicators to Students

Student indicators are a way to organise groups of students into customisable categories, separate to their year level and class, such as EAL, NCCD, Reading Programs, Sports Teams, medical conditions etc. The master list of student indicators is set up in the GradeXpert desktop application.

Indicators are organised under indicator headers and can be assigned a colour as well.

• You can filter any student list by any combination of indicators by selecting the indicators to filter by from the drop-down list of indicators.
• In order to actually link students to specific indicators, so that you can filter by those indicators, click the Indicators button at the top of the screen.
• The screen will then display a grid showing all the indicators that have been created in the GradeXpert desktop application, where you can set up any number of indicators and add a colour to each indicator if necessary to make them easier to identify in a list.
• Simply tick the box for each indicator you want to link to the current student or untick a box to remove that indicator from that student.
• Indicator changes are saved immediately, so once you have finished, click the Results button to go back to the student map. From there, you will be able to filter by these indicators as normal.
