How to create attendance types

  1. Click the Options menu and then click Attendance & Timetable under the Software Settings subheading.
  2. Click the Modify button at the bottom of the page next to Attendance reasons.
  3. Type in the name of the new Attendance Type in the Add a new attendance type field.
  4. Select from the drop down list under the Treat As column to choose Present, Unapproved Absence or Approved Absence. 
  5. Use the drop down list under the Colour column to select which colour the indicator next to your Attendance type will appear in.
  6. The Export Code and Export Letter column is where you need to enter the code and letter of your attendance type, which will appear in a report. The Export letter must be in capitals.
  7. Select the check boxes under the Do not show on roll and Kiosk Student Sign-in columns to make them hidden or visible in those pages.
  8. Set which attendance status all the previous periods on that day will be marked as from the drop down list under the Kiosk Sign-in Mark Previous column.
  9. To enable students to select this attendance type when signing out in a Kiosk, click on the check box under the Kiosk Student Sign-out column.
  10. Use the drop down list under the Kiosk Sign-out Mark Future column to choose which attendance status will all the future periods on that day be marked after your new attendance type is selected.
  11. Click the Add button.
